Trust me, I know what it’s like to feel lost in the chaos of motherhood.

Motherhood always comes with its own challenges, but after my third baby I felt the chaos start to consume me. I was completely overwhelmed and exhausted from caring for the demands of a newborn, toddler, and preschooler.

Most days I was barely surviving, counting down the hours until bedtime, praying that I would get more than four hours of sleep, only to wake up and do it all over again.

My house was always a mess, we were ordering take out multiple times a week, and I felt like a shell of former myself, completely overwhelmed and disconnected from who I used to be.

On the outside, I smiled, pretending everything was fine, but inside, I was silently drowning.

The breaking point came one morning . . .

I was frantically trying to get breakfast ready. The baby was crying, my toddler was begging to be picked up, and my 5-year-old kept asking me a million questions. The overwhelm hit hard, and it was only 8:00 a.m.

In a rush, I shoved a smoothie into my toddler’s hands and quickly turned to get the baby. The next second, there was a loud THUNK. I turned to see that my daughter had dropped her cup and smoothie had splattered everywhere!

And when I say everywhere, I really mean EVERYWHERE - across the floor, cupboards, fridge, and, of course, all over us.

Stress surged, anger raged up inside me, and I lost it. I screamed, completely out of control, holding back tears that were burning to come out.

And then, I looked at my kids—my sweet, innocent kids—and saw the fear on their faces. Guilt washed over me. I hugged them, apologized, and tried to explain that I was having a hard day, but in my heart, I knew something had to change.

If an accidental spill could push me over the edge like that, I had to get a handle on my stress and mental load—for me and for my kids.

That’s when I decided to take control.

I dove into learning about stress and how it impacts our well-being. I started researching the science of self-care, experimenting with routines, and finding ways to simplify the chaos that surrounded me daily.

Little by little, I implemented simple strategies—following a daily routine, creating a rotating meal plan, and carving out small moments for self-care.

Those small, consistent changes broke the burnout cycle I’d been stuck in for years. Slowly, I began to feel more like myself again.

And that’s when I realized I wasn’t alone.

So many moms were struggling with the same overwhelming chaos - truly amazing women, who through no fault of their own found themselves lost in the throes of motherhood.

I saw it in my own mother’s sacrifices, in my friends and sisters as they fell into the same burnout cycle. And it became quite clear to me: I didn’t want that for them—or for any mom.

I knew I had to share what I’d learned. If I could help even one mom realize her worth and rediscover joy in motherhood, it would all be worth it.
